Also known as the Large-Scale Solar (LSS) projects, it is a government-initiated scheme to further increase our Renewable Energy (RE) mix to 20% by 2025. Since 1st April 2021, the government has launched NEM NOVA, a scheme whereby a C&I customer may export its excess solar energy and be paid in credits which may be used only for 1 month. The government is now encouraging C&I customers to have a solar power system that is mainly used for self-consumption (SelCo). Our engineers are trained to optimise on SelCo solar system design ensuring the fastest Return on Investment.

RESIDENTIAL
Since 1st February 2021, the government has launched NEM RAKYAT, a scheme for Residential Homeowners to enjoy solar system for home and save energy with solar power. As the sun rises, your solar power system generates power which your home consumes. Any excess solar energy that is exported, TNB shall pay you credits which you may utilise over 12 months. This way, TNB acts as an energy storage system for your home.
