As an active property investor in residential and commercial shop lots, our client believes that passive income can be optimised. When we shared the fit-in-tariff (FiT) programme to her–a programme of selling energy to TNB (Tenaga Nasional Berhad), she did not hesitate to invest in a solar PV system.
The architectural structure of the property was of an old derelict one built in the 1980s. In our initial site visit, we discovered that the roof condition was not suitable for the PV system due to the degraded condition of the roof (trusses and tiles).
Faced with the challenge, the team took it in our stride -we redesigned and converted the entire roof to a metal decked structure to allow the PV system to be built onto it.
With the installation of the PV system, the shop lot has transformed beyond just an office space, but has since become a source of consistent passive income to our client -all without the worry of leakages with the installation of the brand new roof.
