Net Energy Metering (NEM) allows any electricity generated that is not used to be exported to the grid (for example during the day when your solar system is generating electricity and you are out at work). TNB will record electricity exported and give you 1 to 1 discount on your next month’s electricity bill. This way, TNB acts like a battery system to store all unused electricity. With this scheme, no electricity goes to waste!
