One of the renewable and abundant sources of energy available to us is the sun. The amount of solar energy produced in just one hour can provide power to meet the world’s electricity needs in one year. Unlimited resources have led many countries to adapt the global energy supply to solar power.
As more of the global population gain access to electricity, the demand for cheap energy continues to increase. This demand has resulted in an economy that relies heavily on fossil fuels. Fossil fuels create greenhouse gas emissions that overheat the earth.
Clean and renewable solar energy can help bridge the fossil fuel gap while ensuring access to electricity for all. Today, solar energy is the fastest-growing form of renewable energy worldwide. Many advantages make this energy source very popular.

Solar Power System for Home
There are three types of solar power systems for homes, grid inter-tied, grid inter-tied with battery backup, and off-grid. These three types vary in their close relationship to the traditional electric utility infrastructure known as the grid. Each type has advantages that determine its suitability for your needs.
Grid Inter-Tied Residential Solar Power Systems
The grid inter-tied solar power system is a system that is directly connected to the home and the traditional electric utility grid. This system allows homeowners to get power from either the home electrical system or the utility grid. The advantage of this type of system is the ability to balance the production of the system with the power requirements of the house. When a grid-connected system produces more power then the excess can be sold back to utilities in a practice known as net metering.
When the system does not produce enough power, the house can draw power from the utility grid. The inter-tied grid system is the least expensive type of residential solar power system because it has fewer components required.
Grid Inter-tied Residential Solar Power System with Battery Backup
A grid inter-tied solar power system also connects to the traditional utility grid and adds battery backup to the system. The addition of a spare battery allows the system to balance production and demand and protects against power outages. The production of solar power systems is highly dependent on available sunlight.
When sunlight is abundant, then production can be more than demand. When production exceeds demand the excess power can charge batteries that store electricity. When the system generates less electricity than needed then the battery can make up for the shortfall.
The grid inter-tied residential solar power system is also connected to the utility grid. This allows homeowners to pull off the grid during periods of excess demand and sell electricity to the grid when there is overproduction. System ii offers more flexibility. The disadvantage of this system is that it is more complicated to design and install and therefore more expensive.
Off-Grid Solar Power Systems
Off-grid residential systems are systems that are completely disconnected from the traditional power grid. Without a connection to the utility grid, batteries are critical to balancing periods of overproduction and oversupply. To protect against power shortages when the solar system for home does not produce enough and the battery runs out, an electric generator is usually added to the system. Generators are used as a power source during periods of prolonged overproduction or exceptional demand.

Small Solar Power System
Small solar panels are mini panels that deliver solar power, receive energy from the sun and use it to provide power to a single product. Mini solar panels are usually portable and can be used when larger panels are not needed. Mini solar panels provide a renewable energy source and offer an alternative energy source that has environmental costs.
Currently, the solar industry has experienced an increase in demand and continues to develop with new technologies and requirements set by the government. I2 Energy is driving the adoption of solar solutions in Malaysia.
We will continue to play our part in making solar system more affordable for consumers. We offer innovative energy solutions with the sole aim of creating value with sustainability in mind. We always want to make it easy for our customers.
